Welcome to South Grove Primary School, Nursery and Alternative Provision. We are looking for a special teacher to teach within Haringey’s Primary Alternative Provision. We provide support and an education for children experiencing Social and Emotional as well as Metal Health Difficulties, many of which present as challenging behaviour. Due to us increasing our pupil numbers a vacancy has arisen for a qualified and experienced teacher.
Strong relationships underpin everything we do here. We are looking for someone who truly believes in helping all children to achieve their full potential!
We are seeking to appoint an inspirational teacher to join our wonderful SEMH team. A passion for teaching and an understanding of the importance of play, attachment and trauma-informed practice are key. Collaboration within a team environment is also essential, as you'll work closely with colleagues to deliver a quality education, support children’s holistic development and support them in re-entering mainstream education. Furthermore, you will work within a dedicated team of professionals.
We are looking for an exceptional and experienced teacher with QTS who can:
· A passion and understanding of SEMH and factors that affect behaviour
· Inspire, motivate, have energy, compassion and imagination.
· Be enthusiastic, flexible, resilient and have stamina.
· Have a Positive attitude
· Be compassionate and caring with an understanding of children with SEN and of children with attachment difficulties and trauma.
· Understand that behaviour is communication.
